Ronda Private Guided Tours

Ronda, the city of dreams and undoubtedly one of the most popular day trips from the Costa del Sol and deservedly so. From its privileged position a top it’s rocky escarpment, one of Ronda’s most defining features are its panoramic views.

The landscape over which Ronda presides is locally known as the Serranía de Ronda and is one of our favourite areas here at Marbella Escapes.

The Approach To Ronda

The Serranía de Ronda is an area encompassing three natural parks, rare plants and animals, several peaks over 2000m, some of the Málaga’s longest and most important rivers, Europe’s only rainforest, ancient traditions and ancient towns and villages filled with narrow and windy streets and living in harmony with their beautiful and dramatic surrounds.

From our Palaeolithic ancestors whose paintings can be found in the Cueva de La Pileta, to the Phoenicians and the Romans whose remains can be found at nearby Acinipo to the Moors whose influence pervades the winding streets over the areas towns and villages and finally to the Catholic reconquest and their many monuments dotted throughout Ronda; the Serranía de Ronda is a region to fall in love with.

We offer two tours to help you discover the most of the rich, diverse and surprisingly accessible region. Our Ronda and Setenil de Las Bodegas tour is our most popular tour with a visit to the “town under a rock” that is Setenil being a surprising and unique stop for all our clients. The Ronda and Setenil tour offer makes the perfect shore excursion for cruise ship passengers docking at Málaga port.

The longer, Serrania de Ronda tour, includes a visit to one of Spain’s most ancient and fascinating caves, the Cueva de La Pileta, whose 30,000 + year old cave paintings, astonishing rock formations and minerals make it one of the area’s most defining spots.
